With the nationwide wave of power rationing in the third quarter, my country has recently officially started the pace of market-oriented reform of electricity prices.
Rising: Electricity prices for high-energy-consuming enterprises rose to 1.5 times
Relevant documents from the National Development and Reform Commission have clarified that it will be implemented on October 15th, canceling the electricity prices in the industrial and commercial catalogs of various regions, and expanding the range of coal-fired electricity prices to no more than 20%. It is worth noting that in the National Development and Reform Commission documents, the electricity price of high-energy-consuming enterprises is not subject to the 20% limit, which means that the maximum electricity price no longer exists.
From late October to early November, public information shows that at least Jiangsu Province, Beijing City, Shandong Province, Zhejiang Province, Heilongjiang Province, Shanxi Province, Jiangxi Province, Hubei Province, Liaoning Province, Gansu Province, Anhui Province, The State Grid Electric Power Company in 12 provinces and cities including the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region issued documents related to agency power purchase, which further clarified that the agency power purchase price for high energy-consuming enterprises will be 1.5 times.
Suzhou is an area with a developed private economy in my country. Taking this place as an example, before the increase in electricity prices, the industrial and commercial electricity price in Suzhou was about 0.84 yuan (peak-valley weighted average electricity price). A local manufacturing company with a 10,000-square-meter factory purchases 1.13 million kilowatt-hours of electricity every year and needs to spend 950,000 yuan in electricity bills, totaling 23.75 million yuan in 25 years.
And if this enterprise is a high-energy-consuming enterprise, the electricity price will rise to 1.5 times. The annual electricity expenditure is 1.706 million yuan, and the cumulative electricity expenditure in 25 years is 42.65 million yuan. Compared with the 25 years before the increase, the electricity bill increased by 18.9 million yuan.
Settlement of accounts: Building BIPV roofs, green electricity is more cost-effective
The private economy contributes more than 60% of my country's GDP and more than 90% of the number of enterprises. The rise in market electricity prices will inevitably lead to an increase in electricity costs for many private enterprises, especially high-energy-consuming enterprises.
In the face of rising electricity costs, if industrial and commercial roofs can generate electricity themselves to meet their own electricity needs, will this dilemma be effectively alleviated? In the context of electricity reform and rising electricity prices, the distribution of electricity generated by combining with buildings Integrated photovoltaics have once again attracted attention, especially the building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) solution with higher power generation efficiency and better building material properties, which has become the focus of the industry recently.
In the past two years, due to the efforts of companies such as LONGi, the leader in the photovoltaic industry, building photovoltaic integration technology and products have become very mature, and many projects have been officially launched. Relevant personnel from LONGi New Energy made a simple calculation for reporters:
Take the above-mentioned enterprise in Suzhou as an example. This enterprise has a factory roof of 10,000 square meters, which is 100% fully occupied for its own use.
Installing roof-top BIPV products on a 10,000-square-meter roof requires a one-time investment of about 8.2 million yuan, and the average annual power generation is about 1.13 million kilowatt-hours. Under the condition of 100% self-use, the electricity bill can be reduced by 23.75 million yuan in 25 years. After excluding the installation cost, it can be reduced Electricity expenses are 15.5 million yuan.
For high-energy-consuming enterprises whose electricity prices have risen to 1.5 times, the economics of roofing will be further improved. Installing 10,000 square meters of roofing products can generate 1.13 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, which is equivalent to saving about 42.65 million yuan in electricity purchase expenses in 25 years. After excluding installation costs, the electricity bill was reduced by a total of 34.45 million yuan.
Layout: Many leading private enterprises have adopted BIPV
In Wuxi, Jiangsu, Liancheng Kex, the world's top semiconductor equipment manufacturer, has deeply felt the benefits that distributed photovoltaics have brought to the company. At the beginning of 2021, the Wuxi Liancheng KEX BIPV project was connected to the grid and delivered. It adopted LONGi roofing product solutions and can provide the park with more than 1.6 million kWh of clean power every year. Not only does it effectively reduce corporate electricity costs and carbon emissions, it also helps companies successfully pass strict carbon footprint certification and green access mechanisms in overseas markets, enhancing global competitiveness.
In addition to manufacturing, the Internet industry and photovoltaic power generation also have natural advantages in jointly reducing carbon emissions. In Qingyuan, Guangdong, Tencent Qingyuan Data Center also uses distributed photovoltaic solutions provided by Longi New Energy. The average annual power generation of a single roof is more than 1.5 million kilowatt-hours, the eight factories in the park have an annual power generation of more than 12 million kilowatt-hours, and the total power generation within the designed service life is at least 300 million kilowatt-hours.
JD.com, another major domestic Internet giant, is building its Asia No. 1 warehouse in Xi'an, Shaanxi and Suqian, Jiangsu. Through the construction of photovoltaic power generation and energy storage facilities, it can provide continuous clean energy for the processing of more than 500,000 orders per day in the park. Become the first batch of carbon neutral demonstration parks in the industry.
The construction of distributed photovoltaics, especially BIPV, can bring green power to private enterprises, help them reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve economic benefits. It is understood that a number of companies from different industries, such as Ancai, Almaden, Huichuan and Flat, have invested in building BIPV photovoltaic plants or distributed photovoltaics.
Under my country’s grand blueprint of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”, the layout and construction of BIPV by these enterprises has further demonstrated the strong sense of social responsibility of the new generation of Chinese private enterprises and demonstrated China’s determination to reduce carbon emissions to the global industrial and commercial community. I believe that more private enterprises will take green innovative development as the driving force and join the carbon reduction process.
